I feel awful! I just wanna curl up in bed with a good book, and a bottle of motrin. I have the most hellish cramps, and it has been a while since they have been this bad. And instead of sitting here complaining, I should be happy go lucky me, getting ready for the "date" I have planned with my lil man. Were going to see The Nutcracker, and then to lunch at his fave resturaunt. This has been planned since the charter schools list of field trips came out back in September. I was, and still am looking forward to it. Just got a surprise this am, I usually have "late" cycles in the winter. (its so weird) So now I am off to watch Clara, and then stuff myself with pasta. Then come home and take long rest with a book! One more thing! We never found the tooth. I know ewwwwww. Lil guy was happy he got a dollar, and all has been forgotton!

My son lost his tooth just about an hour ago. He brought it to me, and I told him to put it in a zip lock baggie so that the "tooth fairy" could find it easier. (that was a trick we learned after we spent a good 30 minutes looking for his first tooth under his pillow) When he went to grab the bag, he dropped and lost his tooth. We looked and looked and LOOKED and we could not find it. I became obsessive compulsive looking for it and still couldn't find it. I did everything but pull out the stove, which is probably where it landed inbetween the stove and counter, and I am pondering having hubby pull it out when he gets home. Imagine being the maintence guy who changes out the stove after we move and finds a tooth. That would be a lil creepy. ewwww..... Buggy (my son's nick name he got this summer and has stuck) is not at all upset. He told me he thinks the "tooth fairy" already got it and will give him his $$ tonight after he goes to sleep! I guess our tooth fairy is in debt. She is running low on funds, using credit cards. Buy now- Pay Later. It has warmed up some, thankfully. This winter weather is making me so tired lately. I hate being tired/exahusted in the winter. It is my fave time of year. Always go with your first instinct. Never second guess yourself. I did this morning (second guessed myself that is)and I spilled coffee all over my hubby and the floor. If I would have just gone with my first instinct.... there would be no spilled coffee.

It is so very cold here. It actually froze last night. Got down o the high 20's. Now I know, to some of my readers that high 20's isn't that cold. I remember living in Utah, and 20 degrees was a warm day. However, here in "Sunny California", thats pretty damn cold! I have on a shirt, a long sleeve button up shirt/jacket thing, plus my zip-up hoddy sweatshirt. I have a beanie made of fleece on my head, and I am still cold. I turned my heater on and set it at 70 with the hopes of keeping the house warm. I am going to build a fire here in a bit. I am trying to remember how I dressed to stay warm when I lived in snow country. I don't remember feeling this cold, even when it dipped below the century mark. I have started baking, in an attempt to keep warm by the oven. I have food to pull out of the oven. Maybe I can thaw out!

I am the happiest girl today! My parents came to visit me. It was only for a couple hours, but it was such a sweet time. They live quite a few states away, and are truck drivers now, this was the first time they have came through my state, let alone my lil town. So they popped in for a visit. We got the call yesterday that they would be able to come, only they thought they would be on Thursday afternoon, and this morning they called and said they were a few hours away. We hustled and bustled around to get everything ready for them. It was such a nice visit! So much to be thankful for!

I love all the history that is explained in a song that is 5 minutes long. I really love that when you google the words We Didn't Start The Fire the first site given is this one which gives the lyrics, and breaks down links to each word in the song. I was amazed at much I learned by reading each the meaning by each word/phrase's link. This is what it says about how he got the idea for the song----- "Billy Joel (reportedly) wrote this song after overhearing a child say that he felt sorry for "older people" like Billy Joel because no "history" happened in their lifetime, that NOW (or the time the song was written) was going to be the world's most historical time period. The comment got to Billy Joel so much that he sat down and wrote this to prove that his lifetime has been FULL of history." ****I remember thinking like that when I was younger. "All the cool stuff has already happened in history" Then the internet was invented lol! This song was released in the late 80's. (1989 I am pretty sure) The "histories" in the song end in the eighties. I can think of pages among pages of history headlines that has happened only since then. Imagine how the song would go then. I wonder if he, Billy Joel, ever thinks of the historical verses he could add to his song that have only happened in the last 15 years. Think back on news headlines from today, the last week, a month ago, 3 months ago, a year ago, 4 years ago, 10 years ago, and the last 15 years. You will be amazed at what you can remember.
Ok enough of that! I downloaded Alvin and the Chipmunks song "Christmas Don't Be Late" I just love that song! Holidays wouldn’t be the same without this!

I have attempted to update so many different times, and each time I erase what it is I wrote, attempt to start over, and never do! Things are going good, however we have had a few ups and downs this last week. One of my daycare parents has her panties in a bunch, and it's starting to get on my last nerve. I could write how I really feel about her, but that doesn't change anything. I doubt she will ever understand and realize that she is a parent to 3 wonderful kids. Maybe someday she will act like it. My mother told me a long time ago- there are 2 kinds of people, those who are parents, and those who just have kids. She falls in the catergory of someone who just has kids. But that is all I am going to say about that for the time being. My husband is doing great, he got upgraded to a soft foods diet yesterday, and will probably be able to go to an all foods diet after the first of the year. He has a scope scheduled for the 16th of this month. They will scope the esphagus, and take a biopsy so that they can find out whats going on in there! I have caught up on some sleep, caught up on lesson plans, did some more Christmas shopping and got my hair done last night. It is much darker now, but I love it! I have to go get some more shopping done now!
